Hello, my name is Kyle McPherson, I am the owner of Dodie's Place Cajun Bar & Grill. Dodie's Place is a local franchise that has time tested Cajun and New Orleans Style recipes for over 20 years. Dodie's started on Lowest Greenville Ave. in Dallas, Texas. However, you could say it started way before when the McGuiness family, Charlie McGuiness and his son Chris "Dodie" McGuiness, took on the responsibility of the recipes that are Dodie's.

These recipes by Grandma Mireille Lanusse-McGuiness are out of New Orleans, Louisiana. These recipes have been in the family before refrigeration. Grandma Mireille Lanusse-McGuiness was a woman that could hardly speak English but knew French fluently.
I had the privilege of meeting Chris way back in 1994 when he and I opened the Regal Beagle together in Dallas at Lovers Lane and Greenville Avenue. Ever since then we have been life time friends. We parted ways in 2000, and I went onto open the Beagle on Lowest Greenville Ave. in Dallas.

When I decided I wanted to move into the restaurant business rather than bars and clubs, the first thing I thought of was opening a Dodie's. I knew with Dodie's that I was getting a quality product that had already stood the test of time.

So here I am today, working the restaurant daily, carrying on the tradition of great Dodie's food, and the fun of Regal Beagle, and the Beagle. So I would like to thank Charlie, Chris and the rest of his family for trusting me to represent him and his family's long time reputation of great service, and great food.
